Purple People Eaters

I'm a little behind on my posts, so bear with me as I catch you up on the latest from last weekend. First, my mommy and I went to Dallas (well, Anna to be exact), and Nana flew in to meet us because we were going to one of my mommy's student's (Keon) weddings in Paris.  Aunt Claudia and Uncle Dale were really excited to see me, and by the end of the weekend, I was Uncle Dale's best buddy...maybe this means he'll let me borrow some of his tools ;)  The next morning we got up and ate breakfast and then went for the dreaded eight letter word, better known as shopping.  Not only did we go shopping, we went to one of the biggest malls in the DFW area, the Frisco Mall.  This meant a day of wandering aimlessly through millions of stores while I am stuck strapped in to my stroller without a choice of where to go.  Uncle Dale and cousin Patrick ditched me early in favor of more manly stores, while I got stuck going to places like Victoria's Secret.  Most men would think this is a pretty good deal, but I am only 4 months old and really don't care to be caught dead in a women's underwhats store.  The one good thing that did come out of the trip was that I got new shoes!  They are even Nike...I think mom is trying to brainwash me early to be a runner.  If her students have it their way, I will be either a football or basketball player because to quote one of her students, "real men don't run track".  You can imagine how that went over with her National Championship track students.

Anyways, we finally went back to Aunt Claudia and Uncle Dale's house to get ready for the wedding and then drove the hour it took to get there.  I was asleep until the bride walked down the aisle, which was the time that I decided would be good to let everyone in the church know I was awake.  I thought it was great timing because I got to see the wedding, but my mom wasn't so thrilled.  Everything was purple at the wedding, including a lot of the guests' outfits.  Guys wore purple shirts, ties, pants, and even shoes, while girls wore purple dresses. It wasn't just the wedding party that was in a festive mood.  I was thrilled about the purple because that is the color of my favorite spring on my jumper that I like to stare at for hours.  Mommy is worried that it will be my favorite color, but I like to stare at it aimlessly just to give her a few gray hairs!  Purple People Eaters would've loved this wedding theme :)  The rest of the wedding was spent in the cry room where I could be as loud as I wanted (you see I got what I wanted ;)).  The reception was neat, and we sat next to some really sweet ladies who thought that I was just wonderful!  We topped the night off with the Aggie War Hymn, where I cry, um sang, at the top of my lungs.  At that we made our exit.
The next day Uncle Dale decided it was time that I was introduced to tools since he and daddy love to work with these things.  He first put a glove on my hand, see picture, which was as big as my head!  I know I have big hands, but not that big.  He then gave me a light switch and showed me how to work it...well that kept me occupied and almost made us late dropping Nana off at the airport.  Oops :)  Next time, I will have to go down just for a boys weekend to find out more about these wonderful things called tools. Maybe I can work on my toy tractor next time and set it up for future tractor pulls. :)

Some of you might remember my mentioning my girlfriend, Lexi, from daycare...well, our teacher caught us kissing, took pictures, and sent them to both of our moms.  How embarassing!!!  Mom is making me post them so I can do the walk of shame.  What she doesn't know is that it can't keep us apart...never!!!!

In other news, my cousin, Taylor, graduated from high school this last weekend as well (yes, he officially graduated, even though he has been in Aggieland this semester).  We are all so proud of him.  Next weekend, my cousin Logan graduates, and the weekend after that my cousin Alex graduates.  They are all 3 going to be Aggies, WHOOP!!!  My cousin Tessa also had her birthday this last week. :)  Lots of big events going on it seems like.

Well, that was last weekend's adventure to the Big D...I will try and catch up this week, so I am posting about current events rather than trying and recalling the past because every day is a new day for me; I have infantitis, like senioritis, just for babies.  Until next time.
